DUNWOODY, Ga. - A Dunwoody church got a big surprise on Christmas Eve after police say an intoxicated driver ended up crashing into its Christmas tree lot.
The Dunwoody Police Department said the suspect, who they described as "heavily intoxicated" ended up in the lot while churchgoers were in the middle of a service.
Nobody was harmed in the crash, but officials say that a couple of the church's Douglas firs weren't so lucky.
The injured trees are now on sale in the lot's scratch and dent section, police said.
According to officials, the driver, whose identity is not yet known, has been arrested for driving under the influence and other charges.
