Police: Gainesville man arrested with stolen gun, marijuana
HALL COUNTY. Ga. - A Gainesville man has been arrested after police say they found marijuana and a stolen firearm on him.
Michael Middlebrook, 23, was stopped in Hall County on Friday night for traffic violations.
When Hall County Sheriff's Office deputies searched Middlebrook, they say he was found to be in possession of "a quantity of marijuana, digital scales [and] packaging materials."
He also had a stolen semiautomatic 9mm pistol, police say.
Middlebrook has been charged with misdemeanor theft by receiving, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, no headlights, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
He was booked into the Hall County Jail. The case is currently under investigation.
