ATLANTA - Police release to the public restaurant video showing civic leader Barney Simms about one hour before investigators believe he was shot fatally.
They are trying to identify a young man who accompanied the former chairman of the Atlanta Housing Authority to a Waffle House located near Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The release of the video follows still images of the dining partner made available on Monday. Tips are coming in and a spokesperson for the department said investigators have some strong leads.
Neighbors and friends are trying to help in another way. They are contributing to a reward for information in the case, raising the total to $5,000.
