CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Clayton County Police have identified the victim of a fatal late-night shooting at an apartment complex as a 22-year-old man.
The parents of 22-year-old Daveat Morgan told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor they are devastated.
"It's the toughest thing I have ever been through. Losing a child. I don't know what to say," Morgan's father Daveat McNair said.
Morgan died late Monday night after he was shot near an apartment building at the Southwood Apartments at 6001 Trammell Road near Morrow.
McNair said his son had just moved to Clayton County from Georgia looking for more opportunities.

By flashlight, Clayton County investigators collected evidence early Tuesday morning behind the apartment building where they discovered the body of Morgan.
According to officers at the scene, the victim who had been shot at least one time didn't have any identification on him.
The news release indicated police had no suspects or witnesses in the case.
Morgan's father and stepmother are asking those responsible to do the right thing.
"If you have a heart, just turn yourself in. He was only 22- years- old," Mr. McNair remarked.
