Gwinnett Police are looking for an inmate who they say brought a stolen car to a Department of Corrections work release center.

Authorities say 26-year-old Deangelo Bell drove the 2018 Dodge Challenger to the center on Hi Hope Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

According to the Gwinnett Motor Vehicle Unit, they were proactively looking for stolen cars when they found the car right in the parking lot with an Alabama dealer tag with the VIN displayed altered from the original.

Officers say, Bell saw police investigating the car and fled before he could be detained. He never reported back to the Department of Corrections.

Deal is now wanted for theft by receiving stolen property, altered serial numbers, and a probation violation.

If you have any information about where he is, please contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
