CALHOUN, Ga. - Two people area dead after dump truck crashed into another construction vehicle in Floyd County. The construction crew was doing renovations on a private driveway at the time.
SKYFOX 5 flew over the site, which is off a dirt road in a wooded area off of Old Dalton Road near Rome. A firetruck and ambulance were at the scene.
Floyd County officials said around 9 a.m., a crew from Cornerstone Concrete was working on the one-mile driveway when a flatbed truck began moving.
"So, the truck was being loaded with asphalt. It began to roll forward. At that point, it met a Bobcat. Both of those pieces of equipment went off the hill about 50 feet down the drop, down the embankment, into the woods," said Floyd County Police Sgt. Chris Fincher.

The driver of the Bobcat, 21-year-old John Hunter Lane, of Kingston, and the person in the bucket of the Bobcat, 19-year-old Cody Hauser, of Cartersville, were killed.
Two others were injured, including a person airlifted to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, police said.
"In the truck, the driver of that truck is Samuel Hancock. He was the one that was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center. Albert Star was transported to Atrium Health here in Rome," said Sgt. Fincher.
A total of six workers were at the site at the time of the incident.

The stifling heat and the difficult terrain made the investigation a challenge.
Investigators think the brakes failed, and the truck rolled forward.
Officials said an Armuchee company, KGI, was operating the construction site. OSHA is investigating the incident.
