Police investigate deadly midday shooting in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities in DeKalb County said an argument preceded the fatal shooting of a Decatur man Friday during the lunch hour.

Only two people were in the home located on Sapphire Court at the time. Police are not releasing any names, but the dead man's family identified him as Timothy Davis. He was 31.

A woman was taken from the property and brought to headquarters for questioning. She is the one who called to report the shooting.

The slain man worked for a metro Atlanta area baking company.

No word as of early Friday evening on if any charges will be filed.
