Police investigate electrocution as cause of death in 2 men

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Investigators in Atlanta are trying to determine how two men died while working on a southeast Atlanta home.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 8:19 to a home in the 100 block of Crumley Road SE. Atlanta Police are looking into if the pair possibly came into contact with the power lines. Officers said they found the men unconscious and a ladder nearby leaning against the home.

Medics rushed one man to Grady Memorial Hospital and the other to Atlanta Medical Center. Both men were later pronounced dead.

While investigators are looking at electrocution as the cause of death, the medical examiner’s office will have to formally rule on the cause and manner of death.

Police said Georgia Power crews were called out to the area, but they reported no power lines were down in the area.
