2 men were killed on Wednesday morning at The Lakes at Cedar Grove community in Fairburn on Wednesday morning.

FAIRBURN, Ga. - South Fulton police are investigating a deadly shooting that left two people dead and a third person detained early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. in a home located in the Lakes at Cedar Grove community, just off South Fulton Parkway.

Neighbors reported hearing rapid gunfire coming from the garage area of the home. Police referred to the incident as a "domestic" situation and were focusing their investigation on the garage, where the violence appears to have taken place.

A spokesperson for the South Fulton Police Department stated that a person has been detained for questioning, but the identities of the victims and the individual in custody have not yet been released. 

Neighbors described the area as a typically quiet and upscale community, noting previous disturbances at the house, including a recent fight in front of the property.
