Police involved in shooting in Grayson

Gwinnett officers and GBI crime scene techs spent the overnight hours investigating a police shooting in Grayson.

Police told FOX 5 News that about 8:30 p.m. Sunday a man showed up at a home in the 100 block of Mission Oak Dr, uninvited and threatening to kill his ex-wife and the couple's two childen.  

The two teenagers ran from the house and called 911. Responding officers encountered the man armed with a handgun outside the house. They said he refused to put down the weapon, and was shot multiple times.  

The suspect was transported to Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. The man remained in the hospital Monday, but his condition was not released.

The GBI is assisting with the investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
