SWAT situation outside Lithonia home

SWAT Team was called in after deputies attempted to serve a warrant at a home in Lithonia. Authorities say the subject of the warrant barricaded himself inside.

After a three and a half hour standoff, a SWAT standoff in DeKalb County Wednesday afternoon ended with a peaceful resolution.

Jason Travis Williams was arrested on charges of terroristic threats and acts.

DeKalb County police said the standoff began when the sheriff's office requested help serving a warrant to arrest a man wanted for terroristic threats at a home in Lithonia.

Deputies reporting to the scene say Williams barricaded himself in the house located on Longwood Court and refused to come out.

The standoff began sometime between noon and 1 p.m. and ended around 6:20 p.m., according to a DeKalb County Police Department spokesperson.

Williams was turned over to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office without incident.
