ATLANTA - Family members printed and distributed flyers all over southern Fulton County this weekend in the hopes that someone will recognize a missing woman who has autism.
No one has seen Shanequa Quanee Sullivan, 23, since Feb. 4.
Sullivan has worked on the staff of ABM Janitorial Services at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for about a year. When her shift ended Sunday afternoon, co-workers said she got on MARTA and never returned.
"The waiting is the worst and not knowing. I need to know," said Sullivan's grandmother and legal guardian, Sylesta Seabrum. "I don't' know what to think. I don't know where she's at. I just want her home."
Seabrum called authorities to help search for Sullivan. The Atlanta Police Department's Adult Missing Persons Unit continues to follow up on leads in the case.
Sullivan's grandmother said she grows more concerned with every passing day, especially because the 23-year-old can sometimes put her faith in the wrong people.
"It worries me more because she's a social butterfly so to speak. I have talked to her about social media. She loved it – social media. I have told her about the dangers of social media," explained Seabrum. "You can't call everybody your friend. She was very trusting. She was childlike. So everybody was her friend. If she met you like now, the next minute she'd be telling everybody you were her friend."
Sullivan was last seen wearing black pants, black shoes, and a burgundy uniform smock. She is 4-foot-11-inches tall and weighs about 90 pounds.
Seabrum said she hopes that her granddaughter would show up at the airport to collect her paycheck on Thursday, but she did not. She said calls to Sullivan's phone go straight to voicemail and she has had no activity on her bank account.
Anyone with information about Sullivan's disappearance should call the Atlanta Police Adult Missing Persons Unit at 404-546-4235.
