Police make arrest in deadly Hall County shooting

BRASELTON, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police arrested a man on Sunday who officers said shot and killed a man in Hall County.

Investigators said they arrested James Elliot Blocksom for the killing of Chester Morrison.

On Sunday, police said Blocksom followed a car driven by a female he knew with Morrison in the passenger seat. Authorities said when the car pulled into a QuikTrip near South Hall, Blocksom approached the car and shot Morrison.

Investigators said Morrison was pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.

He was being held without bond as of Monday afternoon.
