ATLANTA - Atlanta police said a man was shot near The Mall West End in southwest Atlanta Monday afternoon.
A witness said he, the victim, and a woman walked out of a Lee Street food mart just after 2 p.m. when a man jumped out of a car an opened fire. Police say the victim was hit twice in the legs and has been transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. According to police, his injuries are non-life-threatening.
Police determined the shooting back in March was drug and gang related, they say it is too early to have a motive in this shooting.
SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene, where there was a heavy police presence, and saw a sidewalk roped off with crime scene tape.
The mall is located at 850 Oak Street.
The investigation is ongoing.
