Police: Missing Doraville teacher found dead

Doraville Police said a 60-year-old teacher who has not been seen since Monday has been found dead.

The body of Richard Weiner was found in a car at Gold Branch Trail in Marietta, according to the Doraville Police Department. There were no signs of foul play.

Weiner was last seen leaving Curry Honda along Peachtree Industrial Blvd. near Broad Street in Chamblee around noon Monday, according to police. His family told police this is highly unusual for him to just vanish.

Weiner was a beloved math teacher at Tapestry Public Charter School.

He loved the outdoors was known to frequent the trail where he was found.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
