Police Officer Refused Service at Dunkin Donuts
WEST HARTFORD, Ct. - A police officer was turned away from a Dunkin Donuts shop in West Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday. Police say the officer was waiting in line to buy a cup of coffee when an employee looked at him and said, "He didn't get the message... We don't serve cops here."
When the officer walked out of the shop, the manager and the employee came up to him to apologize. The employee said she was joking, and offered him a free cup of coffee. The officer declined, and went to another store.
A Dunkin Donuts spokesperson says the employee used poor judgment, and says its franchises "share a commitment to the well-being and fair treatment of all guests".
