ATLANTA - Police have released a sketch of a man they believe is responsible for multiple home invasions in northwest Atlanta. Most recently, the suspect was caught on a nanny camera with a high powered rifle.
Monday afternoon, FOX 5 News spoke with victim Barbara Lyles-Anderson, who said there's no doubt in her mind that the man seen on the nanny cam burglarizing a home, is the same man that was at her house just one hour earlier.
"I took one look at him and I said 'that's him, that's him!'" she said.
Lyles-Anderson was in her room when a man walked in. At first, she thought it was maybe the exterminator.
"I got up from the bed and walked over to him to see what I could do for him and he said 'lie down on the bed and put your face in the pillow,'" she said. "I thought he was going to rape me because I'm in my nightgown and he says lay down on the bed, face the pillow."
Just like the man seen on the nanny cam, the suspect also had a high powered weapon with him.
Lyles-Anderson said she could hear him rummaging through her house. Meanwhile, she managed to get 911 on the phone, but a few minutes later, he was gone. Police think he left her home and headed straight to another house.
Investigators hope someone will recognize the man in the video. Police said he's considered armed and dangerous.
