A robbery was made even scarier for one Clayton County grocery store employee because of what police said the man told the clerk.

It happened at the Kroger on Tara Boulevard in Lovejoy. Clayton County police said a man walked up to the customer service desk and told the clerk he had a gun. But the woman behind the counter said he ended up being armed with much more.

Just after threatening her with a weapon, the robber began rattling off her personal information. Police said he knew specific information about her family and the type of vehicle she drove.

The store employee ended up handing over all the money in her register, according to police. She immediately called 911 and the store was put on lockdown until officers arrived to investigate.

The store promised an increase in security following the incident.
