Chamblee Police are still searching for the teen who they said is responsible for a bomb scare and evacuation at a Sam's Club Warehouse store .

"A male had come up to a cash register attendant and said, 'There's a bomb, there's a bomb, there's a bomb,'" said Chief Donny Williams.

It happened Friday afternoon at the Sam's Club on Clairmont Road.

"We heard over the PA, there was an evacuation," said witness Nicole Lara, who left the store after workers shuffled people out of the building.

According to police, the teen went up to a service counter and shouted that there was a bomb inside the store.

K9 and bomb units searched the building and found no threat. Police said surveillance shows the teenager behind the threat is a regular customer, who was with his mother at the time. Police said the teenager was wearing a red vest.

"A bomb hoax is a pretty serious charge," Chief Williams said.

Store employees said the Sam's Club location reopened at 6 p.m. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Chamblee Police Detective Winfield 470-395-2429.
