CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - A high school student was stabbed by another student with a sharp object at Woodstock High School, according to officials with the Cherokee County School System.
The 16-year-old suspect has been arrested and will be charged as an adult, according to police.
A code red is in effect at both Woodstock High School and Middle School. All doors are locked and no one is allowed in or out of the building, according to officials.
The victim sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported for medical care, according to the Cherokee County School System.
Police are on the scene and are investigating the incident. Parents will not be allowed to pick up students until the code red is lifted.
