Police: Suspect in custody after stabbing at Walmart

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Douglasville police have taken a suspect into custody after a stabbing at an area Walmart.

Officers responded to a call at around 9:40 Wednesday morning after reports that a person was stabbed at the Walmart on Thornton Road.

According to police, officers encountered a male suspect inside the store and took him into custody.

Medics have transported an unidentified victim to a local hospital to be treated. Officials have not yet released the victim's condition.

Investigators are now working to discover the motive for the stabbing.

The identity of the suspect has not been released.
