Police: suspect North Georgia jewel thief caught in Arkansas
EAST ELLIJAY, Ga. - A suspected serial jewelry thief, who hit several stores in North Georgia, has been captured.
Police arrested Richard Laracuente in North Little Rock, Arkansas Friday morning.
He is the man East Ellijay Police said stole a bracelet from the Blue Ridge Diamond Center and then tried to sell the item to a different store, but the owner of that second store called police instead.
He was arrested after Arkansas police said he stole a ring from a jeweler there.
