Police are looking for multiple suspects who they say stole a car and used it to burglarize a gun club in Athens-Clarke County.

According to police, a suspect drove a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee through the front door of the Athens Gun Club on the 100 block of Mill Center Boulevard about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

When they got to the club, police found the Jeep still inside. Investigators quickly determined it had been reported stolen.

Evidence from the scene showed one man drive the vehicle through the storefront, with four other suspects joining the man to steal multiple firearms, police said.

All five suspects in the burglary then fled in a newer-model white Audi that had a sunroof, police said.
