Police: woman wanted for theft, forgery scheme spanning five cities
ATLANTA - Police said they want to find the woman behind a car break-in and forgery scheme that spans five metro Atlanta cities. Investigators want her off the streets.
In the last three months, she has hit at least five metro areas, according to Powder Springs Police Detective Brett Gloyd.
Gloyd said surveillance, photos were taken in May, show the woman cashing checks at two banks on the same day.
FOX 5’s Marissa Mitchell spoke with the woman who owns the checks. Naomie Jerome said these trips to the bank left her out of nearly $3,000. And Jerome believed the woman got her checks and other ID information when someone broke into her car at a park a few weeks earlier.
Investigators said they want the public's help identifying this woman. And in the meantime, they urge everyone to take extra steps to stay safe.
