Postal worker finds python on mailbox

OVERLAND PARK, Ks. - Mail carriers are used to being hounded by barking dogs.

But a Kansas postal worker got quiet a scare from a slithering serpent draped over a mailbox!

Officials believe the red-tailed boa constrictor escaped from a home in the neighborhood.

Needless to say, the homeowner did not receive their mail that promptly.

Animal Control officers took the 8-foot snake to a shelter.
