Powder Springs mother saves her 2 children from house fire
POWDER SPRINGS, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A mother saved her children from her house in Cobb County as it went up in flames on April 5.
Devin Dehart heard her dogs barking and smelled smoke. She then saved her 3-year-old daughter Lily and 11-month-old son Hudson from the Powder Springs home. Officials said she tossed her daughter on the back porch before going back to get her son.
Dehart’s husband, Adam, was working the night shift and he wasn’t home. Adam said he was grateful his wife insisted on having an escape plan.
The family’s two dogs did not make it out of the fire.
Devin's childhood friends established a GoFundMe page to help the family of four replace the furniture, clothing and other items they lost during their fire. If you'd like to help, click here.
