Across the nation, Pro-Life activists gathered to show their solidarity during the Annual March for Life rally.

In Washington, D.C., more than a hundred-thousand took to the National Mall.

The crowds gathered to protest the landmark Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion back in 1973.

Among those speaking at Friday's event was President Donald Trump via satellite and House Speaker Paul Ryan.

Ahead of his speech, President Trump declared January 19 as National Sanctity of Life Day.

And here in Atlanta, local Pro-Life activists held their own march.

The event began late Friday morning with a prayer service in Liberty Plaza

Participants then marched for a mile in silence through downtown Atlanta.

Organizers said the event is meant to memorialize the lives they said have been lost from abortions.

Georgia Right to Life set up the event and also organized other events around the state.
