Red Cross opens staff shelter ahead of big game
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Red Cross is ready to respond to any disaster even if the city streets are clogged or closed due to the Super Bowl weekend.
Officials said they will continue their usual operations of responding to fires to assist families and other incidents authorities may need help on over the next few days.
To make sure they can meet all those needs, the Atlanta Red Cross opened up a staff shelter at its headquarters on Monroe Drive.
Emergency resources, extra supplies, and about ten volunteers will be centralized there to help reach and support people in need.
