Reports: 2 dead, 1 injured in CO Walmart shooting
THORTON, Colo. (FOX 13) - Police in Colorado tell FOX31 KDVR in Denver two people have died and another was injured in a shooting at a Walmart.
Officials say they are now dealing with a crime scene and not an active shooter situation.
Police tell local media that two men are deceased and a woman was transported to the hospital with injuries.
The status of the shooter or shooters was unknown.
Witnesses to the shooting were being loaded into transport vehicles to be taken to another location.
The Thorton, Colorado Police Department tweeted around 6:30 p.m. local time there was a shooting at Walmart on Grant Street and "multiple parties" were down.
The Aurora Police Department's chief tweeted that SWAT assistance was being sent to the scene.
The view from a nearby hilltop showed dozens of law enforcement and emergency vehicles.
Denver television station FOX 31 KDVR was live at the scene speaking with witnesses who reported hearing loud pops.
