Mom wants son's killer brought to justice

FOX 5's Eric Mock spoke exclusively to Morris' mother about the investigation. She says their family cannot find peace until her son's killer is brought to justice.

A $10,000 reward is now being offered in the shooting death of an East Point man gunned down on his back porch in May 2022.

Princeton Morris was found shot to death at his apartment along the 3000 block of Kentucky Court. Police say he had opened his rear sliding door to meet someone when he was shot.

Authorities have not been able to identify a suspect in the case.

East Point police offered a $2,000 reward in 2023 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

They're hopeful the increase in reward money will lead to someone coming forward with information.

Investigators continue to ask for the public’s help in this case.

FOX 5's Eric Mock spoke exclusively to Morris' mother about the investigation. She says their family cannot find peace until her son's killer is brought to justice.

"I don't really think the person understands the magnitude of pain that they caused," said Morris' mother, Chandra May. "They can't bring him back, but I still want to see justice served."

May says she has no idea why someone would want to kill her son. She says Princeton was known for helping others and was looking forward to fatherhood.

"I had spoken to him earlier that day. We talked for like an hour. He was excited because he was expecting his first child," May told FOX 5.

May knows finding her son's killer won't bring him back, but she says getting them off the street would bring her family immense relief.

"Just to know that the person who did it is no longer walk in the street, can never hurt another person again," she said.

Morris' family is hopeful that the increased reward will motivate the right person with the right information to come forward.
