ROSWELL, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Roswell Police Chief, Rusty Grant announced his retirement Wednesday.
Grant has been the Roswell Police Chief since March 2013 and prior to that he worked with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Before becoming Chief he was the Roswell City Deputy Police Chief.
In a news release sent to FOX 5, Grant said, "The Roswell Police Department consists of the best men and women, sworn and civilian, in the business. It has been my pleasure to work with each of you over the last six years."
Captain Helen Dunkin has been appointed interim Deputy Chief of Police, and will then become the interim police chief until a new permanent chief is hired.
