Sandy Springs police arrest suspect in deadly hit-and-run incident

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - Police in Sandy Springs have made an arrest in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred last Friday evening. 

Molly McCall was charged with homicide by vehicle, DUI less safe, reckless driving, hit and run, and obstruction of law enforcement. 

Officers were called out around 5:43 p.m. to the entrance of Edgewater Apartments at 7600 Roswell Road. According to the Roswell Police Department, officers found a pedestrian dead. 

Investigators learned the driver responsible for the crash was driving a black 2021 BMW X5, which had fled the scene. The vehicle was located by patrol officers and followed back to a residence. 

McCall was booked into the Fulton County Jail.
