ATLANTA - We are setting up for repeated, daily downpours this week as tropical moisture interacts with a front that will stall across north Georgia. Some areas could see several inches of rain by the end of the week.
Although we saw heavy rain this evening, most of the showers and t-showers should be diminishing during the overnight hours.

The front will get hung up over Georgia for later this week as tropical moisture from a Potential Tropical Cyclone 3 works northward. Even though the system is expected to move onshore well to our west, the plume of tropical moisture associated with it could help to ramp up rainfall totals in parts of our area for the second half of the week.
