Search intensifies for ROTC instructor Rodney Freeman amid sexual assault allegations in McDonough
McDONOUGH, Ga. - Authorities in Henry County continue to search for Rodney Freeman, a former ROTC instructor at Union Grove High School, who is wanted in connection with a reported sexual assault in McDonough.
According to the Henry County Police Department, the alleged assault occurred on Dec. 13, and an active arrest warrant has been issued for Freeman. Police said Freeman was last seen at his home on Saffron Lane in McDonough around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. On Wednesday, the department issued an alert reporting that Freeman was missing.
Investigators are urging the public to provide any information about Freeman’s whereabouts. Tips can be directed to Detective T. Henry County Schools confirmed Freeman’s employment and issued a statement regarding the investigation:
"Henry County Schools was made aware of a law enforcement investigation involving one of our staff members. This prompted him to be placed on administrative leave. He has since become the subject of a missing persons investigation, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest related to an off-campus incident. No further information is available at this time due to the ongoing nature of these investigations."
