Service restored following water main break in Midtown Atlanta
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A large water main break in Midtown Atlanta that caused outages Thursday to several apartments and businesses has been repaired.
According to Atlanta Watershed, a 12-inch water main in the 800 block of Spring street at the intersection of 8th street broke.
SKY FOX 5 flew over the scene where water could be seen running into the streets. Water and mud were eventually seen covering sidewalks.
Officials told FOX 5, part of Georgia Tech, two nearby apartment complexes, and a hotel do not have running water.
Atlanta Watershed announced around 9:00 PM Thursday the line had been repaired and service restored.
