5 killed in Fall City home, teen in custody

King County deputies are investigating an incident that left several people dead near Fall City on Monday morning.

King County deputies are investigating an incident that left several people dead near Fall City on Monday morning.

Deputies responded to multiple reports of a disturbance with possible gunfire involved at a home off Lake Alice Road Southeast before 5 a.m.

King County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Mellis told FOX 13 Seattle when deputies arrived, they found a "tragic scene."

Five people, two adults and three juveniles, were found dead at the residence. Officers contacted a teenage boy at the home and took him into custody.

Before deputies got to the scene, one of the neighbors was providing aid to one of the victims, a girl, who was later taken to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment. Medical officials say she is in "satisfactory condition."

"I'm saddened. I'm very, very sad," King Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall said during a news conference while describing the scene. "Very, very sad, very disturbed. I know that my team will do an excellent job by investigating this, and we will determine the facts related to this incident, but that could take several days, weeks, months."

According to deputies, they are looking at a potential domestic violence situation.

Several people found dead near Fall City, WA

Deputies are investigating after several people were found dead, and multiple others were hurt in Fall City Monday morning.

It is not known what led up to the deadly incident.

Cole-Tindall said investigators will be at the scene for several days.

King County Councilmember Sarah Perry issued the following statement on the tragic situation:

"Early this morning, we learned about a terrible situation in the Lake Alice neighborhood of Fall City, in which five family members, out of seven, were tragically killed.

"At this time, I ask you to join me in holding all family members, the community members of Lake Alice and Fall City, and others impacted by this terrible situation, in your heart with prayers of peace and healing.

"While this is an active investigation and there is much we still don’t know, or that I can comment on, what I am able to share is that the two youth who survived are safe, that a local family member has stepped forward to assume custody of them, and that the community at large is not in danger.

"My heart aches for the lives lost and all who are struggling to make sense of this loss right now. Please do reach out to a counselor, your faith leader, or call 988, if you or your friends or family members could benefit from someone to speak with at this time.

"I am committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all our neighbors and share my love in this very difficult moment for our community."
