ATLANTA - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for most of Georgia until 9 p.m. Monday.
The counties included in the watch are:
Barrow, Fayette, Forsyth, Hall, Morgan, Newton, Walton, Paulding, Banks, Clarke, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Macon, Marion, Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Butts, Crawford, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Putnam, Twiggs, Wilkinson, Glascock, Greene, Hancock, Jefferson, Johnson, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes.
Some counties in the western portion of the state have had their watch canceled.

Following a stormy weekend, the FOX 5 Storm Team is watching for the development of more showers and storms Monday afternoon, some of which could be strong to severe.
The Storm Prediction Center puts the FOX 5 viewing area under a "slight" (or level 2) risk for severe weather Monday afternoon, with the main threats being damaging winds and large hail.
The best chance for storms will be later today, when we're at peak heating of the day -- the activity will be scattered, so while it's tough to pinpoint exactly where the storms will develop, everyone should prepare for the possibility of a strong storm this afternoon and have a "plan B" for any outdoor Memorial Day activities.
The chance of showers and storms continues Monday night, and the extended forecast shows a chance of afternoon showers and storms right through the weekend.
Over the weekend, heavy rain, thunder, and lightning struck counties across the region late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The severe storms that hit early Sunday morning downed trees and left hundreds without power.
A large tree toppled onto a home in Midtown Atlanta. Another fell in the 800 block of Durant Place, blocking traffic in the area. A third downed tree brought down power lines in the 4600 block of Orkney Lane, causing outages there.
