A Barrow County community is dealing with a shocking crime that has left neighbors with a lot of questions.

Investigators are trying to figure out what happened to a couple who was found dead in their home by their grandson.

"He was such a wonderful person. I would have never thought it would happen to him," neighbor Zelphia Wright said.

Her family lives next door to the couple, and after hearing they were dead, she rushed to the quiet Barrow County cul-de-sac.

"My dad called me, and I rushed over and I said: 'This cannot be happening. He was such a wonderful person,'" she said.

The couple's grandson made the grim discovery about 11:30 a.m. Monday.

Deputies told FOX 5 he found his grandparents, both in their 70s, inside their Southridge Drive home.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation helped to process the scene.

Investigators say there are no immediate signs of foul play or forced entry. There was also no obvious cause of death.

When SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene, it appeared that two houses were roped off with crime scene tape.

The investigation stretched well into the evening, with neighbors waiting for answers and left with lots of questions.

"I wish they would find the person who did it," Wright said.
