Shooting investigation underway at NE Atlanta gas station

ATLANTA - Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a northeast Atlanta gas station.
Crime scene tape and evidence markers covered the Circle K on the 1800 block of Piemont Road NE.
Atlanta police officials tell FOX 5 that they were called to the gas station at around 12:30 a.m. after reports of a person shot.
At the scene, officers found a man who had been shot multiple times.
Investigators say the man was at the gas station with his girlfriend when another man walked up to him and fired shots - hitting him multiple times. The gunmen then fled in a what appeared to be a red sedan.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim or any potential suspects.
