Smash-and-grab spree in Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnett County Police are investigating a smash-and-grab spree involving nearly a dozen cars in Duluth.

Authorities said the cars that were broken into were parked outside restaurants on Gwinnett Place Drive, Day Drive, and Breckenridge Boulevard.

Police said all the break-ins happened during the evening hours on March 12.

Among the items stolen, computers, clothes, financial documents, and other electronics.

Investigators said the suspect's vehicle is likely a newer model black Kia Optima with a paper registration place on the back.
