South Fulton police looking for alleged Amazon package thief
SOUTH FULTON, Ga. - The South Fulton Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying a thief caught on video stealing Amazon packages from a home on Cherry Branch Lane.
What we know:
The incident occurred on Jan. 23 at approximately 7:54 p.m. Surveillance footage shows the individual removing packages from the porch before leaving the scene.
Why you should care:
According to Security.org, porch pirates stole $12 billion in packages in the past year, and as many as 58 million Americans were victims in the last 12 months. They also discovered that apartment dwellers are more likely to experience theft than those that live in homes and 14% of Americans take no precautions to prevent package theft.
Security.org also says 2% of Georgia residents were victims of package thefts in 2024.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the theft to contact the Criminal Investigations Division. Tips can be reported by calling 470-809-7300 or emailing cidreports@cityofsouthfulton.gov.
