ATLANTA - Camille Smith Zeigler of southwest Atlanta has transformed her home into a holiday wonderland with an incredible collection of 304 Black Santas.
The tradition began with Camille's sister, Brenda, who started collecting the Santas before her passing in 2013. After Brenda's death, Camille and her other sister decided to continue the tradition, turning it into a shared family passion. The collection grew significantly during the pandemic, culminating in today's dazzling display.
Camille says the collection not only spreads holiday cheer but also highlights the importance of diversity. The Black Santas were sourced from cities across the country, including Savannah, New York, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Dallas, Detroit, and Miami.
The sisters begin unpacking the collection in October each year, and the Santas remain on display until January. Camille’s home has become a symbol of holiday spirit and inclusivity, inspiring visitors from near and far.
