STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Stockbridge Police launched an investigation into a suspicious package located outside a building in the 5500 block of North Henry Boulevard around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Responding officers requested the assistance of the Clayton County Police Department's bomb squad in their investigation.
Out of an abundance of caution, they halted the flow of traffic on North Henry Boulevard between Highway 138 and Ryans Drive.
A controlled detonation took place around 12:20 p.m. There were no injuries reported and North Henry reopened shortly after.
At this time, the origin of the package is unknown and police are still investigating.
