Stone Mountain Middle School teachers arrested for fighting on school grounds
STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Two Stone Mountain Middle School teachers have been fired after fighting each other on school grounds.
According to DeKalb County Police, Brittany Randolph-Johnson and Milan Ethridge were both charged on counts of ‘Disrupting Operations of a Public School’ following a field trip on May 19. They have also been charged with disrupting the peace.
According to the police report Randolph-Johnson and Ethridge, “engaged in a verbal and physical altercation in the presence of minor children at Stone Mountain Middle School while school was in session.”
The DeKalb County School District released the following statement about the incident:
“When DeKalb County School District employees violate the high professional and personal standards of the district, they are held accountable. The employees involved in the unacceptable physical altercation at Stone Mountain Middle School will be terminated following the conclusion of the appropriate district processes. We will never tolerate such behavior in our schools."
