Teen killed, man injured in Atlanta gunfight
Police say an argument escalated into a shootout that left a teen dead and a young man hospitalized.
ATLANTA - A northwest Atlanta gunfight left a teenager dead and sent a young man to the hospital.
Police responded to a home along Sunset Avenue NW just north of Jones Avenue NW at around 9:20 Wednesday night.
Atlanta police say officers found one person in critical condition from an apparent gunshot wound. The other victim was alert, conscious, and breathing.
The first victim, who police say was 16 or 17 years old, later died from his injures. The other was rushed the surgery.
According to investigators, the deadly incident began when an argument broke out in the home and escalated into a shootout.

Police aren't sure what caused the argument and say it's too early to know if the survivor will face any charges.
"We're trying to ascertain what exactly led to the shooting incident and currently looking for additional investigative measures to figure out what exactly happened," LT. Germain Dearlove said.
The names of the two men have not been released.
