ATLANTA - Atlanta Police have released surveillance video of two persons of interest in the brutal murder of a homeless man along Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta.
Investigators believe these two men frequent the Midtown area and may be homeless.
Police said 59-year-old Moses Cooper, of Atlanta, was brutally beaten on the sidewalk and left for dead at the entrance to the 805 Peachtree condo building. Police officers were flagged down around 2 a.m. and alerted to the beating.
Investigators said Cooper suffered blunt force trauma and they believe he was assaulted while he was sleeping.
Other than the video of the persons of interest and a bloody shoe prints leading from the body, investigators said they don't have a lot to go on.
The condo building does have a safety officer, but police said he didn't hear anything suspicious.
Anyone who recognizes the two men or has information in the death is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
