Suspect in mobile home park murder to appear in court

SNELLVILLE, Ga. - A Snellville man charged in the shooting death of a high school student is scheduled to appear in court Saturday morning.

Gwinnett County Police say 31-year-old Robert Jennings shot 18-year-old Ezekiel Smith over a football.

The shooting happened in the Smokecreek Mobile Home Park near Snellville around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. By the time officers arrived at the scene, they say Smith had been transported to the hospital and Jennings had fled.

Jennings turned himself in to Gwinnett County Police Thursday morning.

He's now facing a charge of felony murder.
