Police are looking for the man who shoved feces down a woman's shorts on the Upper East Side and then ran off.
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The man seen on surveillance camera video shoving a bag of feces down a woman's shorts on Manhattan's Upper East Side has been arrested.
The 42-year-old suspect was taken into custody early Friday morning at a homeless shelter in Brooklyn, sources tell FOX 5 News.
His identity has not yet been made public. Charges are pending.
On Monday at about 6 p.m., the man grabbed a 27-year-old woman from behind, grabbed her waist and then shoved the bag in her shorts. He also grabbed her buttocks and tossed a pair of gloves before fleeing.
The bizarre incident occurred on East 74th Street near First Avenue.
Surveillance video was released by the NYPD.
He also reportedly hurled feces into the face of another woman several hours earlier.
The suspect was described by police as Black, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall and around 200 pounds. He was wearing jeans and a green shirt. He also has a beard.
