JONESBORO, Ga. - A man was taken into custody after more than a four-hour-long SWAT standoff at a Jonesboro home.
It started just after 6 p.m. at a home in the 9500 block of Briar Creek Lane near Briar Ridge Lane. Clayton County Police say officers responded to the area after receiving reports the man was firing off shots in the middle of the roadway.
Police say the man barricade himself inside the home and refused to come out to speak with officers.
The SWAT team was brought in due to the nature of the incident.
Just before 10:50 p.m., police say the SWAT team breached the front door and arrested 38-year-old Percell Clay.

Clay was charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
He will be booked into the Clayton County Jail.
