Teen shot and killed at a high school party in Clayton County

Clayton County police want to know what led up to a shooting in Morrow Saturday night. A 15-year-old attending a high school party was killed that night.

A massive teenager party ended in gunfire and a 15-year-old party-goer shot and killed in Clayton County late Saturday night.

Clayton County police say teens from across the metro Atlanta gathered at the party on Citizens Parkway in Morrow over the weekend.

According to authorities, officers responded to reports that a person ad been shot around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Hundreds of teens fled the scene as police pulled up to the event, police said. They found the 15-year-old shot dead near the entrance to the building.

Investigators say an individual was kicked out of the party at some point during the night and came back with another person. The unidentified gunman shot multiple rounds into the building, hitting the teen victim and causing a chaotic rush to get away.

Investigators are looking into the incident and said they will not be naming the victim at this time.

Police have not released any information about the potential suspects.
